Who can book SNØ shower?

All guests can book a SNØ Shower as part of their session—available at participating locations only. This modality is included at no additional cost for IRitual members, and available as an add-on for all other guests. Simply look for the 🚿 icon when booking to select a suite with SNØ Shower access.

How do you book a SNØ shower session?

Select a shower suite (🚿) and continue to booking. Before you can confirm or complete the booking, a pop-up with “Contrast Therapy Add-On” pops up for you to add to your session.

I’m an IRitual member - why does the app show a charge when I book a SNØ shower?

While the app may show a charge when booking your SNØ Shower, our system recognizes your IRitual membership and will automatically apply the correct benefits—you won’t be charged.

Can I book a SNØ shower separately from the sauna session?

SNØ is intended to complement your infrared sauna session as part of our contrast therapy experience. At this time, it’s not available as a standalone service.

Is contrast therapy safe for everyone?

Contrast therapy is generally considered safe for most guests. Our team can provide you with evidence-based protocols designed with an effective, safe experience in mind.

If you have individualized health questions, we recommend consulting your medical provider ahead of adding contrast therapy to your routine. Contrast therapy does have vascular implications, meaning it significantly alters your blood pressure and blood flow. Perspire Sauna Studio recommends talking with your healthcare team ahead of adding this modality into your wellness plan as a complementary therapy.

What's the difference between SNØ shower and a cold plunge?

A cold plunge and a SNØ Shower both activate your sympathetic nervous system, reducing feelings of muscular soreness, improving your mood, and relieving pain. What makes our experience unique is the customization—by utilizing a shower, it allows you to self-position under the flow of water or step away from the stimulus as needed. Plus, the SNØ Shower is seamlessly integrated into the sauna experience, maintaining our value on privacy and centering our members.

How long should I stay under the cold water?

A SNØ Shower should feel uncomfortable yet doable. Just like most other health behaviors, cold therapy takes practice and repetition. As you add contrast therapy to your routine, we recommend:

  1. Start small with just 15 seconds or so, building up to the 45 second SNØ shower over time.
  2. Use a breathing technique, like box breathing, to find a sense of calmness and ensure you resist the urge to hold your breath. Box breathing means inhaling for 4 counts, holding for 4 counts, exhaling for 4 counts, and holding for 4 counts.
  3. Listen to your body. You know your body best, so pay attention to cues and remove yourself from the cold stimulus when you need to.

Why is SNØ shower 45 seconds?

Generally speaking, colder temperatures can lower your body temperature in a shorter amount of time. 45 seconds at 45°F is long enough to lower your core body temperature and activate the benefits of cold therapy, like increased alertness and improved recovery, while short enough to stay consistent with over time. It’s an effective dose that supports both results and routine.

What temperature is the SNØ shower?

Perspire’s proprietary SNØ Shower delivers a cool 45°F waterfall shower for up to 45 seconds. This temperature is based on scientific research studies, which suggest that about 45°F to 59°F is effective at lowering your core body temperature for most individuals.

Can I do halotherapy without infrared sauna?

No—Halotherapy is a session enhancement, complementary to your IR Sauna experience, that costs an additional fee.

Are there any unwanted side effects of halotherapy?

Most studies looking at halotherapy as part of a treatment for respiratory conditions show very few adverse events or unwanted side effects; the complementary therapy is generally well tolerated by most adults.

Some studies report that a normal side effect of halotherapy can include a temporary increase in cough frequency as mucus clears, and some individuals may be able to taste the salt particles in the air. Additionally, some study participants have reported an unwanted scratchy throat after using halotherapy.

While these side effects are not unexpected, if they are bothersome to you, or you experience additional unwanted side effects, we encourage you to turn the unit off and discontinue use.

What kind of salt is used in halotherapy?

HALO ONE™ is a halogenerator that actively breaks salt particles apart and disperses them into the air. You then breathe the particles in, allowing them to interact with your respiratory system. This specific technology is 99.99% pure sodium chloride (no fillers or caking agent), utilizing a 3% pharmaceutical-grade saline solution.

Who can book halotherapy?

Halotherapy is generally considered safe for most adults. However, Perspire Sauna Studio recommends talking with your healthcare team ahead of adding this modality into your wellness plan as a complementary therapy.

Since halotherapy is combined with your infrared sauna and red light therapy experience, similar precautions apply. Additionally, people who have acute illnesses accompanied by fevers should avoid using the sauna and the HALO ONE™ until they’re fever-free. Individuals with respiratory conditions, cancers or other serious healthcare conditions should seek medical advice ahead of trying halotherapy. Similarly, if you have open skin wounds, rashes or conditions, please exercise caution.

Can I use red light therapy during every session?

Yes. Red light therapy can be used regularly as part of a consistent wellness routine, based on personal preference and comfort. Consult your healthcare provider with any individualized questions.

What does red light therapy feel like?

How does an infrared sauna work?

An infrared sauna uses specific wavelengths (near, mid, and far-infrared) to heat your body directly, raising core temperature in a more comfortable environment, leaving you feeling revitalized and refreshed.

Do you provide towels?

Yes, each private suite is outfitted with towels. Once you finish your session, simply place the towels in the designated bin.

Can I bring water with me?

Stay hydrated before, during, and after your sauna session, as you’ll lose water and electrolytes through sweat. Feel free to bring water into your suite.

How often should I use the infrared sauna for best results?

For most guests, 1-3 sessions per week support health and wellness goals. Listen to your body and adjust as needed. Learn more here

How long is the membership agreement? What is the cancellation policy?

All memberships are month to month and auto-renew.

What should I wear?

Since your sauna and suite are private, we recommend you undress to your comfort level. You can use the towels provided, opt for swimwear, or wear lightweight shorts and a t-shirt.

Is the SNØ shower contrast therapy?
