Increasing Weight Loss

A weight loss plateau can happen no matter how many green juices we drink or how much junk food we cut out. Weight loss plateaus happen to even the most dedicated dieters and fitness fanatics. Studies have shown that regular Infrared Sauna Sessions help to move an individual out of the plateau, burn additional calories, and lose weight.

Weight loss aided by infrared sauna use is attributed to the fact that heavy metals and toxic chemicals accumulate primarily in fat cells, and those toxins can keep the body from eliminating the fat itself. It makes sense that possibly the best way to quickly eliminate chemicals is through the body’s largest organ, skin. When heart rate increase, blood flow increases, this increase pushes blood to the capillaries and extremities. These concentrated increases allow your body to rapidly eliminate the toxins that are essentially trapping fat cells inside of your body.

The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) stated,

“Many of us who run do so to place a demand on our cardiovascular system, not to build leg muscles. Regular use of a infrared sauna imparts a similar stress on the cardiovascular system, and its regular use may be as effective a means of cardiovascular conditioning and burning calories, as regular exercise.”

A reasonably fit person will perspire about 250 grams in a 20-30 minute far infrared sauna session, which is approximately as much as she would sweat in a 6-mile run. The cardiovascular system has worked hard to produce that amount of perspiration, yielding passive conditioning. (ii)

In a two-week study of twenty-five obese adults, body weight and body fat were reduced after daily infrared sauna treatments of only 15 minutes. Interestingly, the researchers who conducted the study reported on one obese patient who couldn’t exercise due to arthritis in the knee yet lost 17.5 kg, and decreased body fat from 46 to 35 percent after 10 weeks of sauna therapy.(i)

Whether physical circumstances have caused you to decrease your physical exercise regimen, your busy schedule does not permit long workouts, or you are looking for another way to boost your personal health and wellness, an Infrared Sauna session does everybody’s body good!
